Manuel Antonio is Costa Rica’s premier beach and rainforest destination located on the Central Pacific coast, known for its stunning biodiversity, great beaches, and lush landscapes. This captivating area serves as a gateway to one of Costa Rica’s most popular national parks. Our premium air taxi service offers the most efficient and scenic way to reach this tropical paradise, transforming a challenging three-hour drive from San José into a brief, breathtaking aerial adventure showcasing Costa Rica’s diverse landscapes from mountains to coastline.
PLEASE NOTE: Travelers heading between San José and Manuel Antonio should be aware that the Tárcoles River “Crocodile Bridge” on Route 34 is under major rehabilitation, with traffic reduced to a single lane for extended periods. This has turned what used to be a relatively direct drive into a journey that can easily stretch to six hours or more, especially during weekends, holidays, and peak travel hours. Work is scheduled in phases with alternating one-lane traffic and several nighttime closures through at least early May 2026, and the overall project is expected to affect ground travel into mid-2026.
Flying with Adventure Air lets you completely skip the Tárcoles bottleneck and reclaim valuable vacation time. Instead of sitting in construction traffic for hours, you can be in the Manuel Antonio area in well under an hour of flight time, arriving rested and ready to enjoy the beach, wildlife, and tours. A flight also avoids the uncertainty of changing construction schedules, accidents, and weather, giving you a smoother, more predictable arrival for tight itineraries or same-day connections.
