Take off on our Cessna 206 and immediately start taking in a bird's eye view of the lush jungles, rivers, brilliant blue seas, and gorgeous landscapes of the Osa Peninsula.
After a 15-minute air tour, you will land just in front of the ocean, at the Carate airstrip, to continue your adventure! your private guide will be waiting for you at the airport to hike along the coast of "La Leona-Sirena" trail. After passing La Leona Ranger Station, through secondary forest and the gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, you'll find some of the most astonishing settings of the whole country, you will hike through the sectors called Madrigal until you get to Madrigal river, Cementerio trail, ParaÃso trail, and El Barco until you arrive at La Hedionda creek.
As you keep walking on the beach, you can admire a formation of rocks coming out of the Pacific called La Chancha. During this hike, you can see a variety of trees such as the kapok (the biggest tree in the Osa Peninsula), as well as endemic plants.
Generally, you can expect to see monkeys, anteaters, scarlet macaws, white-nosed coatis, tayras, mountain deer, and a great variety of birds. Sometimes, with luck, you can see a sloth, tapir, or the Puma.
